Motion Graphics & Film

From graphic design to 3D animation, a great package of visual design skills.

Course overview

A really great and valuable combination of modern design skills!

Students can explore the limits of their creativity using static and motion graphics to generate a complete branding experience. The course is taught using the very latest hardware and software by tutors who are expert in their field.

This course generates students with high commercial value and enhances their career options in the wider design field.

At the heart of the course lies educating students in the principles and best practices of film grammar, the cornerstone of all audio visual communications from viral hits on YouTube to Hollywood blockbusters. Brighton and Hove occupies a key role in the early development of photography and cinema in the UK. The city was the home of William Friese Greene, an early pioneer of motion photography, and boasted many studios during the early days of cinema. Hove College is proud to be able to draw on this unique tradition as it looks to prepare and inspire the next generation of film-makers for the digital age.

Progression pathway

All modules lead towards the appropriate Open College Network (OCN) Level 4 certification and for those students who wish to continue their studies the course also offers pathways to further degree level study at selected UK Universities or upgrade to a Hove College Advanced Diploma.
